Physical Education Goals
The goal of our elementary physical education curriculum is to develop knowledge and understanding, attitudes and behaviors, and skills that will enable each student to develop a lifestyle in which regular vigorous physical activity is practiced. We focus on the importance of learning in the psychomotor, cognitive and affective domains that lead to optimal development of the whole student. We focus on fundamental movement skills, personal fitness/healthy lifestyles, rhythm/dance, health and skill related fitness, wellness, fitness principles, sport skills, lifetime activities and cooperation/team building activities.
