Whether it’s the student’s first or final Field Day, it’s always the best day of the school  year. The day was a gorgeous sunny day filled with clear blue skies. The students at Mandalay Elementary School marched outside in single file by class until the excitement of the day hit, resulting in skipping and running towards their first fun station.

Class by class, all adorned in their matching Field Day shirts, students placed on black or gold teams took their turns playing relay races while dodging sprays from water canons, t-shirt tic tac toe, chicken run, corn hole, pizza box relays, and various other strategy games hoping to score the most points for their team for the day.

“Thank you to the entire staff and Mandalay PTA for making a memorable Field Day,” says Mrs. Pisicchio, Principal. “Although the black team won, the gold team’s effort was top notch.”
