With a summer feel in the air, students at Mandalay Elementary School stepped outside in their black and gold T-shirts and enjoyed fun and games at Field Day on June 1. 

Students rotated through more than a dozen stations, led by teachers, staff and parent volunteers. There were relay races, strategy games and more around the perimeter of field. In the middle, there was a spot for parents to watch, cheer and snap plenty of photos. A DJ provided musical entertainment. 

Some of the events included a pizza box race, tic-tac-toe and an obstacle course. And if there was water involved, students didn’t mind getting a little wet to cool down.
